At Glasgow University Student Television (GUST) I lead a team of highly motivated individuals in the task of developing and creating animated short films. We work on several different projects throughout the term ranging from stop-motion, frame by frame, digital and hand-drawn work. Last semester, we developed a short film which was shortlisted for the National Student Television Association Awards (NaSTA) ‘Best Animation’ category.
As one of two Online Editors, I am responsible for the digital output of the Glasgow University Magazine (GUM). In this position, I am managing the magazine's WordPress-based blog as well as their social media. I plan upload schedules, reach out to potential sponsors, promote social events and ensure the magazine reaches as many students as possible. I have also done several illustrations for the magazine, accompanying both online an printed articles.
The Young Filmmakers Glasgow (YFG) is a collective of independent Scottish filmmakers, creating films covering a wide range of subjects. I have contributed with animations to various projects of theirs. Most recently, I created a poster and an animated explainer video to promote their event ‘Greenlight Night’.
Fraport is the transport company which operates Frankfurt Airport. They are currently developing an application which is aiming to help users arrange the transport of their goods as well as to track their packages. I was responsible for providing the pitch illustrations which were used to demonstrate the processes the application would cover, and how users would interact with the application.
The Havana Glasgow Film Festival aims to promote the twin city relationship of the two cities, as well as to showcase and celebrate Cuban film. I was asked to create an animation of the festivals' logo to use for the promotion of this years' events.
